Welcome to CoachKevTraining!

Hello, my name is Kevin Miller. For the past 9 years I have been working in the Strength & Conditioning field as a Sports Performance coach. I am currently the fitness coach for the Philadelphia Union soccer team. My professional experience has allowed me to work with a diverse group of clients ranging from kids to professional athletes. I have also had the pleasure of working with people who are looking for advice ranging from weight loss to rehabbing an injury.

I have a very simple philosophy when it comes to training. I believe consistency, hard work and having a plan are the keys to reaching your goals. I try to instill confidence in all of my clients since I believe the more confident a person the better they are able to set goals and have a clear vision of what they hope to accomplish.

I hold certifications from the following organizations:

–NSCA- Certified strength & conditioning specialist.
–USTAF- Level 1 track and field coach.
–Myoskeletal Therapist Level 1 – Erik Dalton (Pending approval)
–Certified massage therapist- Level 1 (Brandon Raynor School of Natural Therapy)

As an athlete myself, I played both baseball and football in high school. Upon graduation from college I started to train for both endurance and multisport events. Over the past 15 years I have completed three Iron-man Triathlons (Lake Placid 2001-2003), 10 marathons (PR Boston- 3:07) and a series of running and Xterra races.

As a coach I am never satisfied with where I am in terms of my continuing education. I constantly strive to better myself by attending lectures, reading books or connecting with other coaches. We are learning more and more every day about the human body and I take great pride in trying to learn as much as I can about how this complicated system works and the role that we as coaches can play in the development of our clients.

I currently live in Springfield, PA with my wife Mary Jo and three children (Ryan (5), Connor (4) & Kate(2).
